Course Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that there are over 8 million healthcare workers in the United States who may come into contact with infected blood through various means. One of the most dangerous ways is through needlestick injuries after the needle has been contaminated by use. This course aims to address the issue of needlestick prevention by covering recent government regulations, safety devices and techniques and guidance on avoiding needlestick injuries.
