We’re excited to introduce one new CE course, two new microlearning offerings, and one course update—all designed to support healthcare professionals with practical, concise, and evidence-based learning experiences. 

New CE Course

Dementia Care for Nurses (1.0 CE for Nurses)

This comprehensive CE course provides evidence-based insights into supporting patients and residents living with dementia. It covers behavioral changes, communication strategies, and person-centered care. 

  • CE Credit: 1.00 contact hour approved by the Florida and California Boards of Nursing
  • Learning Objectives:
    • Identify the primary causes of dementia.
    • Explain the impact of neurological changes on an individual’s functional abilities and behavioral patterns.
    • Discuss the importance of individualized care plans for patients with dementia.
    • Recognize the different types of dementia and their specific characteristics.

Microlearning Additions

Note: Microlearning is an approach to learning new information in small segments of 3–15 minutes. These courses are mobile-friendly, do not offer CE credit, and do not include a post-test.

Alzheimer’s Disease (Microlearning)

This microlearning course introduces Alzheimer’s disease, including common symptoms, communication considerations, and person-centered strategies to support patient well-being. 

  • Learning Objectives:
    • Define Alzheimer’s disease.
    • Recognize the signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.
    • Discuss care strategies for Alzheimer’s disease patients.

Palliative and Hospice Care (Microlearning)

Explore foundational concepts of palliative and hospice care, including comfort-focused treatment, patient and family support, and communication strategies that enhance quality of life during serious illness. 

  • CE Credit: 1.00 contact hour approved by the Florida and California Boards of Nursing and by ASCLS P.A.C.E.
  • Learning Objectives:
    • Define palliative care and hospice care.
    • Discuss key palliative and hospice care principles.

Course Update

Hand Hygiene Program: Glove Use (1.0 CE for Nurses and Clinical Laboratory Specialists)

Formerly titled Fits Like a Glove: Hand Hygiene with Glove Use, this updated course incorporates refreshed content, improved clarity, and expanded guidance on safe glove practices aligned with infection prevention standards.

  • Learning Objectives:
    • Discuss the importance of proper hand hygiene and glove use in infection prevention.
    • Discuss best practices for glove use with hand hygiene.
    • Identify strategies to improve glove compliance in healthcare settings.
    • Explain appropriate patient situations for glove use and hand hygiene.
