In the field of nursing continuing education, “CE” and “CEU” are two different terms. “CE” stands for Continuing Education and is typically associated with a contact hour, which represents one hour of structured learning content. On the other hand, “CEU” stands for Continuing Education Unit. One CEU is equivalent to 10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. For instance, if you have completed 20 contact hours, it would equate to 2 CEUs; 25 contact hours would be 2.5 CEUs, and 200 contact hours would be equal to 20 CEUs.

If your CE credits are not appearing on your transcript, it may be due to incomplete license information in your Medline University account. Here's how you can rectify this:

  1. Navigate to the "Profile" tab in your Medline University account.
  2. Ensure that you have entered your license information. If not, click on "Add" or "Manage" to complete the License section.
  3. Make sure to complete all fields. For instance, the "Discipline" field must be filled with "Registered Nurse" or an equivalent term to earn Nursing CE credits.

You can easily obtain a transcript or list of your earned CE credits by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Medline University account and navigate to the "Completed" tab.
  2. Click on the green "Print" button located near the top right of the screen.
  3. In the resulting popup window, make the appropriate selections according to your desired result. For more options, click on "Show Additional Options", then click "Continue".
  4. The resulting page is your "Student and Group Transcript Report". You can choose to either "Print" or "Export" your transcript using the green buttons.
