Course Description

Sexual harassment is a serious and pervasive problem in the United States, and federal and state agencies have responded with strict statutes designed to eliminate it. All professionals, healthcare workers and others who may be victims of or witnesses to sexual harassment should understand laws covering it, behaviors that may be determined to be sexual harassment, how and when to report this kind of behavior, and what steps you can take to remedy the situation.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to:

  • Define sexual harassment, including the specific types of harassment
  • Describe what the law says about sexual harassment and the rights of those who experience it
  • List specific steps and techniques to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace
  • Explain steps to take to deal effectively with the various types of sexual harassment when it occurs
