Course Description
Three conditions can compromise sterility: moisture, soil, and physical damage. All of these events are affected by the storage and handling of the packages after sterilization.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of the sterile storage area.
- List the steps in the sterilization process.
- Discuss best practices for sterile storage to ensure device sterility.
- Identify events that can affect sterility maintenance.
