Course Description

Aging affects all organ systems, and the changes in these organ systems inevitably affect the body’s largest organ: the skin. This course reviews the most common changes seen in geriatric skin, the treatment challenges they present, and how to best care for the aging skin of your patients and residents.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to:
  • Understand structural changes of aging skin
  • Recognize common geriatric skin conditions
  • List the common causes of pruritus
  • List the principles of skin and incontinence care
