Course Description

In this course, learners are introduced to a global tool for wound staging and classification.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
  • Define the steps of a wound assessment
  • Identify wound assessment characteristics
  • Explain the rationale for assessing different wound characteristics

Course Author

This course was developed as part of Medline’s Global Health Initiative and is an extension of an education collaboration in Argentina between local nurses in Salta, Nurses Specialized in Wound Ostomy and Continence Canada (NSWOCC), and the Corporate Social Responsibility team at Medline.

This course is intended for nurses and nursing assistants.
