Course Description

National patient safety goals are updated based on feedback and data for better results and cost effectiveness. Some considerations include evidence-based practice and sentinel event data analysis.

In 2026 the Joint Commission replaced its National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs) for hospitals and critical access hospitals with new National Performance Goals (NPGs).
