Course Description

This course is presented by Save a Life Certifications by NHCPS and provides a thorough understanding of how to provide lifesaving interventions during emergency situations. The course covers first aid techniques, treating injuries, and managing medical emergencies.

The course begins by introducing the basic principles of first aid and the importance of early intervention. It covers topics such as identifying and managing common medical emergencies such as seizures, strokes, and heart attacks, as well as how to handle traumatic injuries such as burns, fractures, and bleeding. Students will learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. In addition to these core topics, the course also includes information on environmental emergencies such as hypothermia and heat stroke, as well as how to manage choking, allergic reactions, and poisoning.

By the end of the course, students will have gained the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective and potentially lifesaving interventions during a medical emergency.
