Course Description

Sexual harassment is a widespread and severe issue in the United States, and federal and state agencies have enacted strict laws to eradicate it. It is important for all professionals, healthcare workers and others who may experience or observe sexual harassment to know the legal aspects of it, the types of actions that may constitute sexual harassment, the ways and times to report such actions and what measures you can take to resolve the issue.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to:

  • Define sexual harassment, including the specific types of harassment
  • Describe what the law says about sexual harassment and the rights of those who experience it
  • List strategies to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace
