Pressure injuries (PIs) are a significant healthcare issue that can cause pain and infection, affect quality of life, raise healthcare expenses, and potentially lead to severe and fatal outcomes. Nursing assistants are vital in preventing PIs by monitoring skin changes, repositioning patients, providing skin and perineal care, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
